So I can open and close my garage door with the alarm.com app. However, if we open or close the garage door with our garage door openers - alarm.com does not notice the change. So this provides no help to let us know if we left garage door open after we leave. Plus I was trying to set a scene where kitchen lights come on when garage door is opened (after 6pm ideally, but have not figured out how to set a time for scenes yet).

I am also getting a device low battery error on garage door - but receiver is plugged in and sensor has new battery.

Any suggestions?

These two things are related.

The tilt sensor is what tells the MyQ hub the open/close state of the door, and a low battery level in that sensor will not allow it to function properly.

When did you last replace that battery? Unfortunately the battery used may not have had a full charge.
