Functionality without subscription

Hello,
I recently bought an IQ Panel 4 with multiple door/window sensors and a Surety monitoring plan. I own my home, but may rent it out in the next few years. If my renter declines to pay for the alarm.com monitoring services, what functionality will the following have: alarm.com compatible doorbell, CO and smoke detectors, and alarm.com cameras?

In other words, if I get a PowerG CO detector to link to my IQ panel–will it still work as a normal CO detector without a Surety plan? Same goes for the others listed above… will an alarm.com doorbell still work as a doorbell (and alert me on my phone) without a monitoring subscription? Thank you!

Without an Alarm.com account there would be no remote connection or Alarm.com services available. Cameras would be inaccessible. There would be no notifications, no visibility of the doorbell or video cameras on your phone. Alarm.com video devices require Alarm.com service.

Sensors would still function locally and the panel will react as it normally would to any sensors programmed into it, but you wouldn’t have any notifications on your phone, etc.

So for example, if you have a CO detector connected to your panel, your panel will sound the siren when the CO detector is tripped, the CO detector will sound, but you will not have any operators calling, no phone notifications, just the local system functions.

Jason,
Got it, thank you! So cameras will be inaccessible, but sensors will function to the panel but to no one else (I’m assuming that includes flood sensors, etc). I appreciate the insight. What about Z-wave? I am new to this technology, but I was thinking of getting a smart deadbolt doorlock. If future renters don’t wish to use alarm.com I want to make sure they aren’t left with a “dumb doorknob” rendering the home integration piece of it useless. I could be way off base with how those systems interact, so thanks in advance.

The lock would still function as a lock, any codes you add to it will work, but without Alarm.com there is no real automation rules to speak of on the IQ panel. Z-wave devices can be used with other third party Z-wave hubs at that point though, which would allow automation rules.
