I’m trying to lock my front door in the app but it keeps saying it couldn’t lock. I can hear my door lock turning back and forth. It is locked but the app states it isn’t.
Often, a lock bolt can extend most or some of the way, but if there is any misalignment or if the door is not shut securely there might be friction against one side of the bolt, causing this issue.
Seasonal changes can cause doors to swell and contract a little, which is often enough to cause the issue, even if it is otherwise closing easily in other seasons.
First make sure the bolt has free movement and there is no resistance at all when throwing the bolt manually. Then try a remote command.
