Fortrezz ssa3 siren/ dsc siren options

Has anyone had issues with the z wave ssa3 outdoor siren ? The device sets up via z wave as a light switch I programmed it to turn on during alarm and then turn off when disarmed works only once as programmed , but then device malfunctions

Also could a dsc 30 watt siren somehow work with the go control panel , without having to get a relay and 1 amp power supply? The power supply comes in a metal cabinet like hardwired panels which would need to go in a closet, thus having to basically hardwire the go control panel is there any other options. For this type of siren to work wirelessly somehow perhaps via z wave module ?

If needed could I wire the fortrezz SSA 3 to the bell outputs on the Go Control panel or would it draw too much power?

I’m not seeing any malfunctions on the device currently, and I am not seeing it as a light. It is correctly reporting as a siren on Alarm.com. Rules are not created for sirens on ADC.

To clarify, have you removed and re-added the siren and now it is reporting properly? Is the one on your account at the moment a different siren?

A piezo siren could be wired directly to a power source plugged into a Z-wave appliance module. You could then create rules when to turn it on in Alarm.com.

Looking at the manual, it looks like you could just wire the SSA3 to an independent power supply and use the 2GIG panel open collector output to trigger the siren. Looks like you could wire the GND and TRG ON GND terminals to GND and Open Collector on 2GIG, then program the open collector to trigger on alarms.

Hi Jason, the siren u see is my everspring siren , it works perfectly.I removed the fortrezz as it malfunctioned , I will try adding it again and see what happens , or perhaps wire to panel directly. Also I hooked up a dsc 30 watt outdoor siren to an extra 2 gig power adapter and plugged into z wAve appliance module but it constantly chirps so I unplugged it ,have I done something wrong or incorrectly?

thank you

What is the model number of the siren?

It is a dsc ts 333s siren/speaker

Not seeing many results for that number. Is this the siren you are referring to?

Looks like there are two tone options, determined by wiring. Keep in mind the appliance modules typically have one side which is switched and the other is simply power pass-through, so if plugged into the wrong side it would always be on.

Also of note, if that is the siren you have, this siren says it is rated for 6-12VDC. You should use a 12VDC transformer rather than the 14V 2GIG one.
