Firmware Updates - No Ports (COM & LPT) in my device manager

Hello, I cannot figure out what COM ports my USB Update Cable i using because I don’t have “Ports (COM & LPT)” in my device manager.

I have searched the forum and found multiple posts about how to “show hidden devices” or “Action->Enable Legacy Devices” in the Device Manager, all of it to no avail.

When I plug in my USB Update Cable, it shows up here, under “Other Devices” as FT232R USB UART:

I have also tried to manually add the USB Serial Port manually via the Action->Enable Legacy Devices menu item to install a COM port, but when I have to select a driver to install, there seems to not be any very good options. Tried to just install a standard Communications Port, that didn’t work. The only option close to a USB driver is Microsoft->USB Serial Modem Device, but that seems like it would just be for modems.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

So we can best assist, what OS and version are you using there?

Did you try running the driver setup file in the update folder?
