Is my IQ Planel 4 compatible with “FireFighter Wired Smoke Alarm Audio Detector”?
How do I check if its a 345Mhz Version?
I’m assuming “Wired” part in the description is for smoke alarm and not the detector itself.
You are using an IQP4001 which works with 319.5MHz sensors and PowerG sensors.
The 319.5MHz version would work with your panel
The Firefighter is an audio detector, listening for the cadence of a smoke alarm. It is battery operated (wireless) but is meant to monitor interconnected smoke detectors (Wired).
More information on how the device works and how it should be installed can be found i the manual
Thanks Tyler.
@tyler This one seems like it only detects smokes. Is there a different audio detector that detects both Smoke and CO?
The 319.5mhz version of the Firefighter only supports smoke detection, it does not monitor CO sounders.
The 345Mhz version of the Firefighter can report both smoke and CO detection events, but it is only compatible with a 345Mhz version of the IQ Panel. Life safety sensors such as this won’t work through an RE524X wireless translator.
There are no PowerG versions of the Firefighter at this time.
