I plan to use Firefighter with QolSys panel to monitor the wired smoke detectors. I have a few questions about the configuration.
Will the smoke detectors be wired to hardware 16 or use their separate circuit?
Once the smoke detector is triggered, can it be reset them from qolsys panel? Or has to be physically reset?

The Hardwire 16 is not for use with Life safety devices like smoke detectors.

The Qolsys panel itself would reset as though it were a wireless smoke detector, just with a disarm at the panel. The firefighter in essence is just a wireless smoke, though it is not detecting smoke, just the audio from a smoke detector.
Are you using low voltage smoke detectors that are wired into an old alarm panel?
Yes, the smoke detectors are wired into a very old alarm panel, but I don’t know the model.
