Does this work with GC3? Haven’t found anything that says it does or doesn’t. Looks like it worked with GC2, so I figured it would.
What is the setup config for this?
How does it work? We have a fire/Carbon dual sensor. Does it trigger when either alarms go off?
We have a fire sensor really close to our stove, and it tends to go off if I am broiling or cooking something at high heat. Can I configure the sensor with a delay where I can put in my code to the panel and prevent it from sending to SuretyDIY?

Any 345mhz sensor should work with the GC3.

The manual is not published on 2GIGs website currently. However, programming would be identical to other smoke detection devices apart from Loop number (which is specified in manual.)
Either Zone type 9, or 16. Those are 24 hour fire and 24 hour fire with verification. “With Verification” means that a full 30 seconds of activation or two separate activations within 2 minutes are required for an alarm.
suretyDIY does not stock or sell the fire ring. Also, keep in mind that it will wire into one of your smoke detectors and they must be hardwired, interconnected, and 120Vac detectors.

We can look into this, though I am not sure off the top of my head. Can provide the model number of the detector you are looking to use?
Officially tested sensors are listed below (but as a Hardwired sensor, all 120 smoke detectors should work)
• BRK Brands Model 7010B
• Firex Kidde Model i4618
• First Alert BRK Model 9120B
• Kidde Model i12040
• USI Electric Model 5304

What model of sensor is this? Is it a wireless 2GIG sensor or is it another wired? Once a fire alarm is tripped at the panel the signal is sent and thus acted upon. Central station operating procedure can be found here.
You cannot cancel a fire alarm and not have a response once the panel has tripped, though you can use either two way voice or a landline phone to inform the CS that it was a false alarm prior to dispatch.
Using Zone type 16, fire with verification, will allow 30 seconds of sensor activation before panel is activated.
Also, bear in mind the Encore Firefighter does the same job without requiring any wiring.
If, at a minimum, it does fire that is worth it. But I would like if it did both
The 2GIG Fire Ring is only for smoke detection/fire alarm purposes and cannot be used for multiple loops. The question we are looking to answer is whether it would work in any favorable way with a combined detector. I don’t think so, but we are waiting for confirmation from 2GIG, and the model number of the existing sensor would help. The concern is that whether a CO alarm or a fire alarm occur, the 2GIG smoke ring would send a fire alarm signal as that is how it is programmed.
Trying to install sensors that blend in with what we have. If, for some reason, the ring doesn’t work that is my back up.
The firefighter also has the advantage of listening for the smoke detector cadence, which is a different sound than a carbon monoxide alert.

I will have that model tonight. Thanks for the assist.
Alright, confirmed with 2GIG that either the CO or Fire alarm would set it off, causing a fire alarm at the panel for either one. I wouldn’t recommend using the SDS1-345
