A couple days ago, October 28th, I was woken up by a false fire alarm. Looking back on tge panel it was triggered by a trouble on that zone. That zone is an SM120X relay wired EOL NC to the panel.
My question is, what is “trouble”? Does this mean there was an intermittent lose of connection, resistor somehow bad? Would like to get to the bottom of this to not be a repeat issue.
If it is hardwired into the takeover module, then a trouble would be that it lost connection to the resistor. Depending on the wiring, a loss of power could cause the panel to show a trouble on the zone. Double check the wiring and to the relay module since it did show up as a trouble instead of an alarm.
I do see this module being able to be used as normally open or normally closed. The issue you may be having is that it is not set as normally open with a resistor across the wires at the relay module.
