Fire Alarm as Burg Signal

Hey surety team,

I had a cooking mishap with some sausage and set off my downstairs smoke detector and my system and monitoring did awesome running my evacuation scene with lights and locks and the CS calling me. What’s weird though is they told me the signal came in as a burg instead of a fire even though the descriptor and zone type is correct. (See attached picture.) The panel logs even show it as fire emergency and it announced fire emergency downstairs smoke detector. Any ideas what could’ve went wrong??? I’m starting to feel like my system is a little special as many unique issues as it’s had lol. Thanks in advance for the help!

Also just fyi the alarm occurred on 8/26 around 830.

Sorry to hear there was confusion. I looked into this and I can confirm this was not anything to do with ADC or your panel. Programming looks normal.

The monitoring station software allows for custom zone types description to be entered, however these are not used on our accounts as Alarm.com forwards the zone type details with the alarm signal, and users can change their sensors at will.

In the troubleshooting the monitoring station performed to identify the cause of the prior operator instructions issue, it looks like reps manually assigned the event types as a test, which operators use to describe the zone in addition to the name and the data that Alarm.com sends. I’ve had those fields cleared so this should be resolved.

Thanks For the help Jason! I’ll do some testing this evening and let you know the results!

Just tested and everything is working correctly now! Thanks for the help. Y’all rock as always!
