Yesterday I received a freeze alarm for no logical reason as ambient temperature was more like 75 degrees F. System is 2GIG-CP2, with SMKTB-345 detector, configured as 24 hr Aux. Sequence of events was system was disarmed at 3:32PM remotely via app. I entered the house and at 3:47PM I get local audible alarm, and silence it at panel using normal code.
So is this a one time glitch and what notifications should I have received other than the local audible? Should there have been a text as I am concerned if I am away will the local alarm just continue to sound?
I implemented the freeze alarm in the device really just because it was available, as the primary use is for smoke and heat. Perhaps I should just not use it? Firmware is 1.19.3.1.
This alarm event shows as a Pending Alarm in your history, and a notification for the alarm was sent to a variety of recipients based on your alarm notification rule.
There were 7 recipients, including two emails, two SMS text messages, and three push notifications.
Login to Alarm.com and visit the Notifications page to ensure that you have up to date contacts selected in case any numbers/emails have changed.

This would be at your discretion, though if there is no reason for activation on that loop I would consider disabling it, or programming it as a Type 23 No Response Type instead of an Aux alarm in the 2GIG panel sensor configuration, that way you can set up notifications for it but not trigger the alarm siren.
Is this the only false activation that has happened for that device?
My oversight, The notifications were indeed there.
I have switched the Sensor Type to 23, (No Response Type), from the previous Type 8. It appears that Sensor Type 23 allows an Equipment type of 1 for contact, and 2 for motion. Should this be 1, or 2? I have set a Chime function so at least I will know what is going on if I am home. If not home, at least there will not be a local siren going off and I will get the notification.
It still leaves the issue of why the false alarm, and why Pending since there is zero dialer delay. This is the first time this has occurred and the sensor was installed less that a year ago.

On the 2GIG GC2 Dialer delay is set on a sensor by sensor basis. That zone has dialer delay enabled. You can edit that in sensor configuration for each zone individually. A number of other zones look like they have dialer delay enabled as well.
The false alarm isn’t really explainable, its possible it was a malfunction of the ambient temp sensor on the unit.

It should be (1) contact. Essentially unless the zone is an actual motion detector, select Contact there for type 23 No Response zone types.
Just FYI, I recently had a false freeze alarm that would not go away. I disabled the freeze alarm, but when I tested the heat alarm, I found that that would not work.
I feel that it is likely that the temperature sensor failed low, causing the freeze alarm, but also disabling the heat detector as well.
This detector is in the garage and the heat detector portion is the only reason I have this detector; to detect fire in the garage. I do not have the smoke detector portion active or monitored as that would cause false alarms when engines are started in the garage.
It looks like the detector you are referencing may have been installed quite a long time ago. The SMKT3/SMKT8 sensors have a 10 year life span. They will cause malfunctions after that and must be replaced.
It looks like yours may be 10 years old, is that correct? Check the replace by date or manufactured date on the detector.
