Existing equipment - new service - no password

Hi all,
I just moved as a tenant in a house which has preinstalled equipment. Owner does not remember the password of the IQpanel and said it is compatible with alarm.com which he has used a few years before.
I need to get Surety but the first step is about entering IMEI for which I need the panel password. How do I reset it? It is IQPanel 2

Thanks,
Pranit

In most cases in order to get started with an IQ Panel you will need a code. Either the master user code, dealer code, or the installer code will work. The IQ Panel 2 cannot be factory reset without access to its UI.

You can gain access and remotely reset any of the codes once the panel is connected to and communicating on an Alarm.com account through Surety, but to complete that activation you typically need a code to run a cell test on the panel.

In some rare cases panels which have previously been activated are able to begin communication without the cell test.

You could try the default codes to see if any of them work.

Master: 1234
Installer: 1111
