I am leaving CPI, which uses alarm.com. Once I cancel with them does my current alarm.com account get deleted and I have to create a new one that is linked to surety? Currently when I sign into ADC there is a CPI logo on the corner. Is the transition as easy as canceling them, keeping the same ADC account and signing up with surety? Hopefully which means all my ADC connected sensors/cameras are already loaded to the account?

That is the standard process. The vast majority of users begin this way, and activation on our website results in a new ADC account for you.

Alarm.com does offer account transfer options for dealers, but this requires your current dealer to allow transfers. Not all do. I’ve never seen most of the larger dealers agree to it, unfortunately.
You can find info on this option here:
Thank you. Assuming my current provider does not allow transfers what do I need to have them do? They need to delete my account so the associated equipment (cameras, sensors, garage door, lock, etc) are no longer associated to an alarm.con account and can be added to the new alarm.com account I create with surety?
You would just need to have the existing account cancelled. This will unregister any connected devices linked to the account.
Alarm sensors and Z-wave devices will still be in your panel programming. Those would just be discovered during the initial data communication on your new account. Peripheral account-linked devices like MyQ garage and video cameras would need to be paired with the new account.
I have a standard 2GIG GC2…so would I need to buy an unlocked cellular module from you and just pick a plan?
If your provider will not cancel your account then you could still get started by swapping the module. We have a module and first month service bundle here:
However, if you have a 4G LTE module already and your provider cancels your Alarm.com account for you, you can just buy service on our website and activate using the existing module.
