Was just wondering why you charge tax when purchasing through your online store?
I’m in WI. I thought you didn’t have to charge taxes unless you had a brick & mortar here, like Amazon. They recently built 2 huge warehouses here, now all my Amazon purchases have tax. They never used to though.
Our customer service team may be better able to answer, but my understanding is that it is based on the locality where service is taking place. Like you expressed regarding equipment, areas we do not have a physical presence are handled like many online transactions, and aren’t taxed. Services rendered in the area for monitoring are sometimes treated differently, sometimes treated the same.
