Ecolink Zwave issue for garage door

I am having trouble with the installation of the Ecolink garage door device. The controller finds it and attempts to install…but doesn’t finish. It isn’t included in ADC but does show as a device in my zwave network. The Ecolink led stays red after inclusion. I have factory reset the device and clear it from the controller on multiple attempts. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

When enrolling the Garage Controller into the alarm panel, how far from the panel is the Ecolink?

Does the panel itself produce an error stating that the pairing cannot be finished or otherwise completed?

As a test,

  1. Ensure the Ecolink is removed from the network, Clear the ecolink controller from the network if necessary.
  2. Bring the Ecolink near the alarm panel within a few feet if possible.
  3. Put the panel into learn mode, press the hub button on the ecolink. The status LED should blink green rapidly.
  4. Once complete you should hear a beep with a green led indicator.

When pairing to the panel, does the ecolink beep twice and light up yellow 3 seconds, or does the status indicator light up red for three seconds?

Ecolink is currently testing the device with a 2GIG system. I will give you an update when they reach back out to me.

Ecolink performed testing of the Garage door opener with various different 2GIG panels. They were able to confirm that it is not compatible with both the GC2 (this is the one you have) or the GC2e.

It is compatible with the 2GIG Edge.

The 2GIG GC2 has been discontinued for many years now and it looks like the Z-Wave chips in them have not been updated to work with this newer Z-Wave devices like this Garage door opener.
