Duress?

So I noticed the other day that my phone app is showing duress in the upper left corner.

First I don’t know how it got there, and second how do you clear it?

Thanks in advanced for your help,

Jorge

This likely indicates that your panel Duress Code (user 8 on 2GIG) was input at the panel. You can clear the alarm history at the panel itself, and once arming state changes (disarm), this should clear.

Have you disarmed the system since you noticed that alert?

A duress alarm also means immediate dispatch for those systems with central station (for those without, duress is a useless feature and should probably be removed (delete user 8 code on 2GIG panel))

This can also be sent if you are using silent police panic (which for those without central station, police panic should be set to ‘audible’)

Yes I have set the alarm a couple of times already. I was the one that disarmed the system and the duress code was not input, see attached

Panel duress occurred at same time panel was disarmed 10:48 (motions and front door activated and bypass ended)

And panel was disarmed by my cellphone app if that makes a difference.

Riven, I will be deleting user 8 tonight. My alarm is not monitored by a central station. Hopefully that will clear it.

And panel was disarmed by my cellphone app if that makes a difference

So, at 10:48 in the morning, you entered your home, set off the family and dining motion detectors (or someone entering bypassed kitchen window set them off), opened/closed front door, and disarmed with your mobile phone app?

The duress code can only have been entered/activated locally via fixed panic/pad/panel, or remote keyfob (programmed AUX).

Yep from the history you show it looks like the system was locally disarmed with the duress code. Can you verify in the panel history?

That’s the weird part, when I disable the alarm from the panel it displays the person’s name, when I do it from the cell it doesn’t. So I assumed it was from the cell phone.

Thinking back I may have punched in three digits (pet my dog) then waited a couple seconds, turned around and punched in the last digit.
My dog was having a cow and I had to pet her.

Was that the issue, maybe I put in the wrong code?

Do you have central station monitoring? did the police visit you?

if the Answer is NO (to first question), then simply delete user 8

If you have Central Station, but no police came, then you have another issue you may want to resolve.

I’ll have to look at it tonight when I get home

No central station, no police, will be deleting user 8 tonight

So I logged into alarm.com from my Android phone and this is what I see!

All better now, thanks for the help and the suggestions!
