DSC to 2gig help

I moved into a house with a DSC system. The house has some recessed door sensors and some regular door/window sensors. I bought a GC3 panel and a DSC translator. The GC3 picks up the regular sensors just fine. But it is not picking up the recessed sensors. What could be the issue? Is it that the recessed sensors are wired? Does it mean I should buy new wireless sensors to replace them (25 of them!) or this some cheaper solution. Picture of the panel is attached.

If wired, you will need the 2GIG TAKE. One for every 8 zones.

I’ve read reviews of the 2gig takeover that say there is a false low battery alarm after a few months. How does the 2gig unit compare to the resolution RE308 Takeover (and where to do I even buy the RE308)? Thanks.

Mind linking to those? That’s not a concern with these and I’d bet these cases would be due to improper installation or one-off problems. The TAKE-345 uses the old alarm panel (or a third party replacement, like the HPL624) for power as well as their battery charging circuit. The TAKE itself does not charge the brick backup battery, just uses it if direct power is lost.

If you go the resolution products route, the RE208 is what you want. The 308 is for DSC wireless panels. 2GIG uses Honeywell.

The reviews I read were on amazon:

Ah, yeah I wouldn’t put too much stock in that. Low battery will occur quickly if you do not connect the backup battery, and will occur after a while of use if you do not connect the backup battery to a charging circuit (off the old panel or HPL624).

The batteries themselves should be replaced every 5 years or so depending on use.
