I just purchased an outdoor sensor, installed it and it works great. But when i try to arm my system in stay mode it switches to away mode after a few minutes. I want stay mode so the sensors don’t trigger the alarm. I don’t know if this behavior was happening prior to adding the sensors. Seems like the panel has some sort of auto away mode or something. Whether i do it via app or console the results are the same… it automatically switches to away mode by itself after a couple minutes. Is there a work around? If there is no work around, then how can i get my sensor to not trigger the alarm.
The PowerSeries NEO wont arm stay unless there is a stay/away zone enrolled in the system. The DSC PowerSeries Neo must have a stay/away zone enrolled on the system to be able to arm stay otherwiese Away will be utilzied.
The following DSC PowerSeries Neo sensor groups allow a system to arm stay:
- 05
- 06
- 09
These are all motion groups. If there is not a stay/away zone on the account, then the motion sensors are always active during any arming state so the system is always armed away.
