I’m currently looking at doing away with ring Alarm and Cameras and coming back to Alarm.com I wanted to ask about the VDB750 as I have read that if u dont have an existing doorbell.u would need to get a transformer and resisters, what I wanted to know could I use my existing ring plugin adapter for the new ADC doorbell that is currently Suppling my Ring Doorbell specs for the Plugin are Power input: 100-240V AC, 50/60Hz, 0.5A / Power output: 24V DC, 0.5A, 12.0W, doorbell Hardwired transformer (16 to 24 VAC, 50/60Hz, 10VA to 40VA) this is what is current set up wanted to ask before I looked at buying the doorbell and trying it ?
The ADC-VDB750 does not support onboard recording via SD Card.
Compatible doorbells that do support that features include:
ADC-VDB775 - 1.5 TB on firmware version 04016+
ADC-VDB770 - 512 GB on firmware version 02234+
The ADC-VDB770 is not compatible with audio recording and playback for 24/7 Onboard Recording. Live View and Cloud Recordings still work with audio as expected.
If you are installing on a brand new location, then you will need either an AC Power Supply or a DC power supply with a wire between the doorbell location and the transformer location. The power requirements are:
AC transformer - 16-24 VAC, 10-40VA (16VAC, 10VA recommended)
DC transformer - 18-24VDC, 12-30W
