That usually means the night vision lens that works with the IR light got stuck over the lens.

A reboot will fix it but if the lens is getting stuck, it is more likely it will happen again.
To reboot the device, you can remove it from the wall for several minutes and then install it back. If you know where the doorbell is getting power from, you can unplug or disconnect the wire and then connect it back.
