Doorbell Chiming intermittently

Hi,

I have an Alarm.com ADC-W115C Smart Chime. It rings intermittently even though I get a phone notification. My doorbell - ADC-VDB755P is hardwired.

Any thoughts on what could be going on - how to diagnose the issue ?

It rings intermittently even though I get a phone notification.

So that I can best assist would you clarify the issue that is occurring?

Does the intermittently mean that you are not getting chimes sometimes when you should (because you also received a notification at that time)?

Or are you getting extra chimes when it seems you shouldn’t?

If you are seeing notifications without an associated chime, are those doorbell pushed events or are they person detection notifications?

I get the chime ~50% of the time when someone presses the doorbell.

In all of these instances I do get a push notification on my phone.

How does the smart chime connect to the network? Can you confirm the router/access point model it is connected to? How far away is that access point from the chime?

It sounds like it may be having trouble remaining connected to wifi.

The alarm is connected to a Ubiquiti Access Point U7 Pro ( which is hard wired to the router) and mounted on the ceiling. The alarm bell is directly underneath the access point.

Does that access point use the same SSID as the main router? To avoid the wifi devices getting moved between access points and make sure the closest point is used, a unique SSID for that access point would be needed.
