Door Sensor Keeps Going Offline?

One of my door sensors keeps showing as offline even after replacing the battery. It works for a while and then loses connection again. Could range or interference be causing this?

What is the model of the panel you are using?

How far is the sensor from the panel? Is there a lot of walls between the panel and sensor?

I’m using the standard panel, and the sensor is located a fair distance away with a couple of walls between it and the panel. The sensor initially communicates normally after a battery change, but eventually drops offline again. I’m wondering if marginal RF signal strength, interference, or the distance through the walls could be contributing to the intermittent connectivity. I’ll test it closer to the panel to see if the connection remains stable.

Offline does not always indicate low battery, it typically means the sensor cannot communicate with the system. Distance and interference can cause offline issues.

I am showing that this username is not associated with Alarm.com service through us but depending on the sensor communication type and placement, distance could be a factor. Knowing the panel brand and sensor type would be helpful here.
