I’m trying to role play my cleaners coming to my home to ensure that I give proper disarming instructions.
I have a Honeywell Vista 20P system that is Surety ADC controlled using the SEM300 module.
If I arm Away and wait the 60s exit delay (note - I do have several motion sensors and some of them may still be indicating “activated” when I arm Away), and then open my front door, close it and walk to the nearest panel to disarm, I do not seem to get a consistent 45s entry delay.
Sometimes, the alarm seems to go off immediately.
Update on the front door sensor (below): I am starting to think that the issue is not with the sensor, but some kind of delay(s) through the old Vista 20P system and the SEM300 to ADC translation.
After several 10s of min I started receiving a bunch of alerts and alarms on my phone via ADC app. I also received a call from the monitoring service. However, this was more than 30 min after I had triggered these alarms.
It seems as if something wasn’t registering properly on the ADC side.
This seems pretty broken to me - any suggestions?
[See update above] Also, I am having some trouble with that front door sensor.
I had a worker set off the alarm, but it was triggered by an indoor motion sensor rather than the front door sensor (which never registered being tripped though it had to have been tripped).
Right now, that sensor is registering as Open when it is not.
I believe this is a wired sensor - photos of door install attached.
Any suggestions on disarm entry delay or how to troubleshoot the front door sensor?
