Delete Smoke Alarm

I installed a smoke old smoke alarm that was in my home before I purchased it. My Qualsys panel alarm instantly went off. I have attempted to delete the smoke Alarm but the alarm screen pops

up and blocks the screen before I am able to get the smoke alarm deleted. If possible please delete the Hall Smoke Alarm (zone 15) so I can operate th panel as before.

The panel looks like it is reporting as in alarm currently. It would need to be disarmed in order for any remote sensor deletion commands to go through.

If this is a compatible smoke detector which is constantly alarming, take the batteries out first. Then disarm the panel. Can you delete that zone then?

Out of curiosity what is that model of smoke detector ?

Smoke alarm is a Interlogix TX-8010-01-1
I currently have the panel off because I couldn’t get the alarm disabled. After I put the disarm code it will go back to alarm in about 10-15 seconds. The smoke alarm is down and laying on the floor without batteries. Hope this helps

I did try to boot the panel up and the alarm went off again. Any other ideas

That does not make any sense. The panel would not be receiving any signals if the smoke detector is powered off.

I’ve sent a command to the panel to delete that zone. The panel will need to be powered and disarmed. Power up the panel and disarm the system any time the alarm occurs, we may be able to get that command through.

However, if the smoke alarm is powered off, something else is amiss. Can you post a photo of that smoke detector’s DLID/TXID? it is a 6 digit hexidecimal value.

After rebooting I did try disabling the alarm , it disabled then about 10 seconds later it alarms again and so on as many times I try. Also there is no smoke alarm sounding in the house.

I was able to get the smoke detector deleted by just being fast and getting it deleted before it activated. I have seven of these and would like to install them with my alarm.
If you have any ideas or thoughts let me know.

Check the replace by date on all of those smoke detectors, it appears that one is likely expired. I believe that date code sticker is showing manufacture in 2013. 10 years is the expiration for those smoke detectors and they will throw malfunctions if you try to use them past the expiration date.

Yes they are all past the expiration date. I’ll change them this weekend.
Thanks for the help.
