Create a button press notification for the ADC-VDB770

Users can create a button push notification using the Notifications page.

Make sure Push Notifications are enabled on the mobile app. To do so:

  1. Tap Menu
  2. Notifcations
  3. Toggle Push Notifications On

To create a button press notification using the Alarm.com app:

  1. Log into the Customer app.
  2. TapMenu
  3. Tap Doorbell Camera .
  4. Tap Settings Gear .
  5. Tap Push Notifications .
  6. Tap Add .
  7. Tap Doorbell Call .
  8. Name the notification.
  9. In For the selected devices , tap to select the desired doorbell camera.
  10. In When the following event occurs , tap to select Button Pushed .

Note : The ADC-VDB770 cannot use the motion selection to record on motion. The motion notification must be created in the Video Analytics configuration instead.

  1. Optional customization:
  • In During this time frame , tap to select At all times or Only during the following times to choose a schedule for the doorbell camera to follow.
  • In Notification filtering , tap to select the desired filters.
  1. In Recipients , tap Add .
  2. In the Address Book, tap to select the recipients to notify, or tap New Contact to add a new Address Book recipient.

Note : It is recommended to use a push notification (i.e., recipients with a phone icon next to their description) rather than an email or text notification. Users can answer a doorbell call directly through the push notification.

  1. At the end of the page, tap Close .
  2. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  3. Tap Save .

To create a button press notification using the Alarm.com Website:

  1. Log into the Customer Website.
  2. Click Notifications .
  3. Click New Notification . or click Edit Pencil to edit an existing notification.
  4. Click Doorbell Call .
  5. In For the selected devices , click to select the desired device.
  6. Click to select Button Pushed .

Note : The ADC-VDB770 cannot use the motion selection to record on motion. The motion notification must be created in the Video Analytics configuration instead.
