Connecting a New Panel with Motion and Glass Break

First time Surety Home user here.

I am setting up my new system and have run into a few issues. I was successful in getting all of the door/window sensors added to my IQ 5 Panel. However I am struggling with the motion sensors and the window glass sensors. So it is a two part question:

I go into Settings → Advanced Settings → 1111 → Installation → Devices → Security Sensors → Auto Learn Sensor

  1. When I go here, I see the list of all my sensors. Is it checking in the background for a signal to add more? There is no indication of that. It just shows the list of my window sensors.

  2. How do I get the motion sensor and the glass sensor to initiate the signal to start sending? I have the DSC Wireless Glass Break Sensor and the Wireless Dual Tech Motion Detector. I pressed the red button on the glass sensor which looks like its reseting but nothing happens on the control panel. And then I dont see any button next to the battery for the motion sensor.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

  1. Yes, the panel will display your current sensors and is listening for the signal of your device.

  2. There is an enroll button in each of these devices that need to be held for about 4 seconds. Once the Yellow LED light turns on, release immediately. I have attached images of these two devices with a red outline on the learn button. The yellow LED light means it has sent out the enroll signal. Sometimes, you may need to send it a second time.

In the case it does not want to learn in, press and hold the learn button until the LED light flashes red several times and release. This defaults the sensor to default. Try learning it in again after it has been defaulted.
