Concord 4 "Smoke/Heat" Low Battery

Hi there,

I have an old system I ported over many years ago to Surety. Everything works great, replaced battery backup (12v) a couple of years ago. Today, an alert showed up that Smoke/Heat (10) (no doubt labels from my original installer) has a low battery. All fire alarms are hardwired with battery backup from what I remember. No chirping in the house to indicate that anything is amiss, and I’ve never known what this labeled sensor is – is there a way to see what the backend thinks the sensor should be? We have a bunch of hardwired doors from this original install (6yrs ago), but I don’t believe those have batteries to replace?

What other info could I provide? Any advice would be great – thanks!

There is no additional detail on a Concord 4 on our end regarding the zones. There are two zones reported by the system as smoke detector zones and neither have unique names. They are both labeled “Smoke/Heat” One of them shows a low battery.

This means there are likely two wireless smoke detectors supplemental to your wired system, they would look slightly different than the wired ones you have. If you are uncertain about any particular devices, please post a photo of any components you haven’t been able to identify.

Thanks so much for this sagely advice! We found the culprit which looks like maybe a break glass or monoxide device? It takes 2 x CR123A batteries. Greatly appreciate it!
