On my account Youngberg House, sensor 4, which is a water/temperature sensor has failed and is giving supervisory errors. Can you please remove it from my system remotely.
Also, in Alarm.com web site and app I have tried to turn off the error beeps in the security section, but that does not seem to work. Am I missing something?
We’re happy to help! Typically it is recommended to send specific account requests via our secure message tool here.
In this case though, I do not see any malfunctioning sensors. The sensor you have named shows no Offline events recently (offline indicates loss of supervision). In fact, I do not see any activity from it this month at all.
Note that the sensor looks like it is programmed as sensor group 29. Sensor group 29 actually results in trouble beeps when the sensor is tripped normally, not a siren. Can you confirm that you are seeing supervision errors locally?
I do see the remote command to turn off trouble beeps, but there are no trouble alerts registered from the panel at this time. We’ve requested an updated status from the panel and no trouble condition was reported.
Note that Access Code lock reports as being On however. This will cause trouble sending most remote commands and codes to the system and should be disabled. (the panel must also be disarmed to receive remote commands)
To disable Access Code Lock from the panel:
Press [8].
Enter the installer code.
Press [00] to go to system programming.
Press [0003].
Access Code Lock On/Off should appear. Press 1 to turn Access Code Lock off.
Press [#] to confirm the setting.
Power cycle the panel.
Not sure why you aren’t seeing the problem with sensor 4. The sensor is physically removed, and the keypad is definitely indicating a supervisory error, and generating beeps to indicate an error.
Access Code lock may be causing an issue in this case, and while we are happy to send remote commands, this particular one won’t work (along with most others) if Access Code lock is on.
It is currently reporting as On on the system in question. Please let us know once Access Code lock is disabled.
You can also directly delete the sensor in question by:
Press [8].
Enter the installer code.
Press [00] to go to system programming.
Select Sensors, select Delete Sensor. Scroll to desired sensor and press #
Looking at the account it appears the sensor in question was already removed. It is no longer showing in your device list. Any error related to that sensor should be gone on the panel.
We can also confirm that Access Code Lock no longer reports as on.
