Clear a Phone Line Failure on an Interlogix Simon XT, XTi, and XTi-5

The Panel Phone Line Failure trouble condition indicates the panel’s attempts to dial out using the phone line were unsuccessful.

If there is no phone line attached, it is required to remove the monitoring station information programmed from the panel because the information is stored in the module.

Interlogix Simon XTi and XTi-5

The monitoring station account information can be cleared at the panel.

  1. Tap Settings Gear
  2. Scroll to Programming, then tap Enter.
  3. Enter the installer code.
  4. Tap Security.
  5. Verify Account Number is all 0’s.
  6. Return to Programming, then verify all Phone Numbers are blank.
  7. Power-cycle the panel locally to ensure these settings take effect.

Interlogix Simon XT

  1. Scroll to System Programming, then press [OK].
  2. Enter the installer code.
  3. Scroll to Security, then press [OK].
  4. Scroll to Account Number, then press [OK].
  5. Make sure this section is blank, then press [Status] to return to Security.
  6. Scroll to Phone Numbers, then press [OK]. Verify all phone numbers are cleared.
  7. Power-cycle the panel locally to ensure these settings take effect.

To power cycle the panel:

  1. Disarm the system
  2. Place your monitoring account on test mode
  3. Unplug the power supply from the wall outlet
  4. Open the panel and disconnect the internal battery. Wait 2+ minutes.
  5. Power up battery first, then power supply.
