Check Low Battery on devices before notified

IQ4 Panel

Is there a way to check the battery level for multiple devices rather than waiting for them to notify me?

I want to go on vacation and want to replace the batteries proactively of any low devices to avoid low battery warnings (which often cause false alarms) while on vacation. I won’t be able to,address low battery issues while away

Is there a way to check the battery level for multiple devices rather than waiting for them to notify me?

Not for security sensors (legacy or PowerG). There is no way to determine battery voltage or level at the panel. You will only be notified once the the low battery threshold is hit. This threshold is will vary from sensor to sensor.

Manufacturers typically state projected battery life for a sensor, this can give you an idea of when to expect battery failure, but its just a guideline.

I thought one of the recent firmware updates added ability to verify battery level in PowerG sensors?
I may be thinking of the new line of PG sensors that haven’t been released yet.

4.2.0 is the most recent FW for IQ Panel 4. Nothing about battery level, but it does have:

  • Added PowerG Signal Strength, displaying dbm level and graphical interface.

One of the FW updates allows for voltage test at the panel as well, but this only refers to the panels power supply not a sensors battery.
