Change sensor number

I installed a few sensors to test them out, but they don’t have the desired sensor number.

Can you change the sensor number either on the panel number or in ADC?

Or is the best course of action is to decide beforehand the order you want the sensor to appear and then install them so they will appear sequentially?

There isn’t a way to change the sensor number unless you delete the sensor along with the sensor in the slot you want to use and re-add them both to the system in whichever order you prefer.

If you do want your sensors in a specific order, it is best to figure it out beforehand and add the sensors in the order you would like them on the system. If you don’t have many sensors on your system, then it’d probably be easier to remove the current sensors and start over.

Thanks!

I am having a separate problem when adding sensors.

The auto scan works fine and it adds the sensor properly. I make the appropriate changes to the settings, save those - but the sensors are being reported as open despite the magnet and sensor next to each other.

I went to arm the alarm and it reports the two sensors as bypassed.

Any thoughts on this?

Strange - my DW40-345 sensor is behaving properly and is correctly reporting being open or closed.

I have installed three DW10-345 sensors and all appear open.

I had to change them from Loop 1 to Loop 2 and it started working correctly.

Learning as I go

Here’s a great cheat sheet showing all the loop options in the 345 sensor line-up. I find it handy…

After getting the Loops resolved, are you still running into issues with these sensors?

Not at all! Sensors are working perfectly now.
