Chamberlain CIGBU/C

I have a Chamberlain CIGBU/C that was active on an old ADC subscription with a different partner before switching to Surety. Since the CIGBU was previously activated by ADC on another subscription, I do not have the username / password to log in to MyQ and remove the CIGBU gateway from the MyQ account, allowing me to activate it on the new Surety ADC account.

Can you reset or remove this gateway to allow me to register it? I can post the CIGBU serial # here if you tell me it is safe to do so, or email if that is safer.

Is the prior account still active? We cannot remove devices associated with accounts through another dealer. If the device is still active through Alarm.com, it would need to be removed by your prior provider.

Typically this would not be an issue though as the prior account and device instance should be deleted. If the Alarm.com account was deleted you should be able to add the Gateway normally.

Have you tried adding the Gateway?

No, the account is not active and has not been for over 2 years.
Yes, I have tried adding the gateway 5 times and received the standard ‘already active’ message. Please see attached.

Go ahead and submit the serial via our secure message tool and reference this thread. We’ll take a look and see if there is still an instance of this in ADC. I would presume that Liftmaster would need to delete it. ADC would not be able to if it is no longer attached to any account.

Resolved.

Solution: Factory reset Gateway.
Via MyQ app: Register gateway using MyQ app. Add garage doors. Delete garage doors. Delete Gateway.
Alarm.com: Register Gateway. Register Garage Doors.
Test successful.
