The panel would not disarm. It would still show the red lock and no prompt would appear to enter your password for the scene. The panel would them arm itself again after about 30 seconds or 1 minute. I’m going to reconnect it to the power and see what happens
I turned my panel on and the secondary panel had an alarm on it that would not clear with the password. I entered it and it would just sit there. The main panel still looks like the picture I have included.
And, when I disconnected the battery from the main panel last night it apparently pulled the connetor along with it.
I’m not sure what to do, especially with the battery connector detaching from the board. The Panel been back and forth between usable and unusable all day.
Pings to the panel are resolving so it is still communicating. As such, I would recommend placing your Monitoring Account on test mode to avoid dispatch on any potential false alarms.
You can do this by calling monitoring operators directly at 855-348-0367 or from the Test My System tab in the System Manager section of your Surety account.
Are you able to interact with the IQ Panel 2, or is the screen still white and unresponsive?
If you can interact with it, power it down by navigating to settings > Advanced Settings > Power Down.
Once off, unplug the power supply from the wall outlet. Wait 10 minutes, then re-apply power. does the panel reboot?
Unfortunately, if the battery connector was damaged, the panel may need to be replaced. Are you able to submit a photo of this?
the Main panel was the one that was white, unresponsive, responsive and then black screen not responsive. I’ve unplugged it twice and it seems to be working now.
The only way to fix the panel would be to solder the battery connector back on to the board but if the panel is giving you other issues, then the best option would be to replace the panel with a new one. The IQ Panel 2 has been discontinued and the panel that replaces it would be theIQ Panel 4 433 Mhz Radio
A backup/restore can be run to apply RF sensor programming, User Codes, and panel programming to the new panel. This process can be performed during normal business hours.
The process for the backup restore is as follows:
Run a backup (There is an existing one from February 9, 2025)
Once the new panel is received and you are ready to start the process:
Do not program the new panel
Power down the old panel power supply first, then internal battery
Private Messsage us with the new panel’s 15-digit IMEI number
We will send commands to begin the restoral process and confirm this has been sent.
The restoral can take 20-30 mintues. During this time, do not add any devices to the new panel or send any arming disarming commands or make any programming changes to the new panel.
You will know the process is nearing completion once the last of the sensors populates at the panel. Wait an additional 5 minutes or so for User codes to populate, if applicable.
