I have three Alarm.com cameras all wired identically (Cam to PoE switch to SVR to router). Two work perfectly with third-party clients, the third does not, and I think it comes down to how it’s provisioned for streaming.
the cameras that work are provisioned for Janus relay streaming (ADC-VC728PF and ADC-VDB755P)
The camera that doesn’t work is the ADC-VC838PF which is provisioned for peer-to-peer streaming
When anything other than the Alarm.com app tries to open a live stream on the driveway camera, the signaling server immediately closes the websocket with this error:
{“error”:“Camera 107020080_2049 has not yet dialed in”}
The camera itself is healthy, it shows online in the portal, it’s on ethernet, it records to the SVR, and it streams fine in the Alarm.com app and web portal. The behavior is consistent. If I first open the camera in the Alarm.com app, it registers and third-party live view works for a while. Once it goes idle it de-registers and stops working again, It only registers again when I open the live view from the Alarm.com app. My two relay based cameras never have this problem because the relay stays connected.
Can the ADC-VC838PF be switched to relay / proxy streaming (Janus), the same as my other two cameras, instead of peer-to-peer?
Thanks
