Trying to make it so one of my cameras record whenever the “Driveway” sensor is activated, but it’s not an option in the dropdown list on the “New video recording schedule (sensor opened or closed)” page. It is currently selected on the sensors page as a monitored sensor. Any idea how to configure this?
Is your driveway sensor programmed as a non-reporting motion sensor? this would explain it.
You cannot create sensor initiated recording schedules using a sensor programmed as motion, due to how the sensors report to ADC (activated/idle with extended delay)
It is recommended (and more customizeable) to simply use the VMD settings of the camera for motion capture. However, for a driveway sensor, you could always program it as a non-reporting “contact” sensor instead if you would rather set it up that way.
