Bypassing open windows w/o user code verify?

Sorry if this was already posted but I was surprised not to find anything in searches.

So with fall weather we leave the upstairs windows open for fresh air. Sure it’s just an annoyance but the wife complains of having to click the GC2’s Bypass button and enter her code before arming each time … while she’s carrying stuff to the car, kids are screaming, etc. on the way out the door. Our old alarm system had a “bypass bit” for each sensor in installer settings to just arm anyway with no ack of code. Obviously GC2’s keyfob and remote ADC arming automatically skip any bypass prompts. Curious if GC2 has such an advanced setting for the panel and TS1 that I (hopefully) missed?

Check Q72 in programming. You can set this to (1) enabled to turn on quick bypass (gets rid of code requirement)

Another option is to replace the sensor with a DW40, which has a button you can use to press to bypass before opening: 2GIG DW40

Ahhh, thx!

OK, so Q72 at least gets rid of the enter code requirement, but the panel always remains yellow and wife still has to click the “Bypass Upstairs Windows” button every time she arms? So (unlike my old alarm) there is not a PER SENSOR setting to ignore a bypass prompt at each arm? Obviously I’d prefer that any other sensor like a door or even downstairs windows never be accidentally forgotten at arm.

Now, RTFM this time (like I should’ve found and done earlier  I now see a Q75 “Select auto unbypass” setting which apparently removes bypasses by default (1) before each arm. Now before I actually try changing that to 0, should that also take care of the repeat bypass button on each arm? Bypass button once and never again until the window is closed and reopened? Any other caveats I am not thinking of before I disable that?

Yes, but keep in mind that will only be true for a manual bypass. Not for forced bypass due to arming.

So you would want to, prior to arming the panel, enter the Menu - Toolbox - Bypassed Sensors and individually bypass that zone. It will then (with Q75 disabled) no longer un-bypass on disarm, and you can leave it that way as long as necessary.

If you have an open sensor, try to arm the system, and bypass when the panel shows open zones, this will still auto-un-bypass.
