Broadband network failure

Hi,
I Recently installed 2Gig Edge. I keep getting a “Console: Broadband Network Failure” alert and the panels keep beeping, it gets quite annoying. It usually happens 3-4 times a day. If I run a broadband test, it always completes successfully. Any ideas why I’m getting this alert and what I need to do to stop it?

Thanks,
David

Currently I am trying to ping your system over broadband and it is not responding.

The first thing is to reboot your router and reboot your 2GIG Edge panel. Let me know when those are complete and we can try pinging the system again using the broadband path.

What model router do you use?

Hey Jason,

My router is a UniFi UDM Pro. Both the router and main Edge panel have been rebooted.

Your panel responded immediately to a couple broadband pings, looks like it is reconnected at this time. Let me know if you see the same network failure condition again intermittently.

Will do. Thank you!

Hi Jason,

I just started getting the same Broadband Network Failure alerts again.

Thanks,
David

Do you have multiple access points? Have you tried setting up IP address reservation for your Edge panel in your router?

If you have never seen broadband tests fail at the panel it sounds like inbound commands are failing to route to the panel and that is why you are getting that trouble condition. When we originally sent pings they timed out. This would most likely suggest router settings or network setup is impacting it.
