I bought some PG9936’s and realized their operating temp is way too low for an attic in the North East. Need something with long range given distance to the panel.
Thanks!

You could use a PG9945 sensor and use the terminals to hardwire a System Sensor Heat Detector 196 degree which is more than the 135 degree that is with the PG9936
You will need a short piece of wire to connect between the heat detector and the PG9945 sensor. The sensor will need to be learned in as normally open and as a fire zone.
Are there instructions on how to wire the heat detector to the window/door sensor to make that work?
There aren’t any instructions yet but it’s not that difficult. The pictures below show the terminals on both the PG9945 and the System Sensor Heat. You’ll just need a short piece of wire 18/2 wire recommended but you could use 22/2 wire.
A new How To for reference:
Is it correct to assume that this is low voltage so red and black don’t matter? In other words if I used the red terminal in the picture and out the wire in the black terminal in the transmitter , it wouldn’t matter?
That is correct. As long as it is able to see the resistor at the end of line, the color’s don’t matter in this case.
