Away Alarm triggered by motion sensor

When we arm away, our motion sensor is setting off the alarm when we enter.

Hello, looking at the history, the alarm occurred because it looks like someone entered through the Side Door, however the Side door alarm sensor was bypassed, so entry delay never turned on. The motion detector was the first sensor tripped, causing an immediate alarm.

Sensors will be bypassed automatically if you remotely arm the system with them open at the time. Make sure all zones are closed before arming the panel.

It’s showing closed. Would there be a reason it’s bypassing when the system is armed?

It is closed now.

If you arm the system when the door is open it will be force bypassed.

Make sure the door is closed at the time you arm the system.

It is when we arm

Looking at your history, the latest event occurred after the panel was armed away at the panel screen, and the side door looks like it was used to exit, however it was not closed when it armed. The Side door shows as bypassed at that time when the exit delay ended.

You may want to increase the exit delay time if this occurs often.

Exit Delay can be edited under Settings > Advanced Settings > Installer Code > Installation > Security and Arming.

Auto-Bypass can be disabled from that same section of the Settings menu in Security and Arming.
