Hi! I have the EcoNet Controls EVC200-HCSML The Bulldog Valve Robot, Z-Wave Water Valve. I set it up with my “Iq Panel 4” and the panel detects it as a light switch that I can turn on and off from the panel. However, in the alarm.com app it is detected as a Water Device, but I do not have any way to turn it on and off from the app like I can on the panel (At least from what I can see)
3 Questions:
- Does anyone know if there’s a way to make the panel detect it as a water control device.
- Is there a way to turn off the Water Main from the alarm.com app? Or is there some other app I can download that can do this?
- (Will test this tomorrow). Does anyone know if it will automatically turn off the water if one of my flood sensors go off?
Thank you!
Any help is appreciated!
That model is not on the supported devices list for Alarm.com, so unfortunately there would be no expectation of full functionality.
See the officially supported devices listed here.

No, you cannot change how the device reports on the panel as its type.

It looks like you have the Alarm plan through us. That is an alarm only plan that does not include automation device support in Alarm.com.
You can update to Home and include water management in the system manager here to get automation access. But because that device is not officially supported, I cannot confirm whether this will work 100% as expected.

If you add automation support by changing plans this is an optional rule to set up in Alarm.com.
