I am writing to inquire if your dispatch center supports an auto-dispatch option that activates only when multiple zones have been tripped.
Specifically, I would prefer that auto police dispatch does not occur if only one zone is tripped. However, if several zones are going off, such as multiple motion zones, then I would like the auto-dispatch feature to activate and police notified.
Could you please let me know if this functionality is supported with your dispatch center?
Yes, changes can be made to your account procedures to accommodate that.
With that change in place on a burglary alarm with a single trip, operators would still call the premise number if you have one on your account and call all contacts, but they would not dispatch unless someone asked them to. If multiple zones are tripped, operators would follow the same procedures but would call for police dispatch if they’re unable to reach any contacts.
