I activated the converted Vivint alarm box and was attempting determine if the unit was detecting that a door was open before I armed the system. I selected ‘arm stay’ but the unit proceeded to arm itself with the door open.
#1 Does this mean the door magnet is not being detected by the unit?
I do not see any door activity in history, so based on the above:
There are two door sensors learned into the panel currently. Can you verify that one of those doors is the one you reference?
Did you recently power cycle the alarm panel just before arming? Note that when the panel boots up it will do so into a state which assumes all sensors are closed. Sensor and panel communication is not two way, the panel just listens to sensor signals, so unless the door was closed and opened again, or the supervision interval passed, the panel would see the sensor as closed following a reboot. Reboots occur after saving and exiting programming on a 2GIG Go!Control.
Yes, this could cause a false alarm if the sensor is actually open but the panel shows as closed. The status would update at the next supervision interval.
Try opening the sensor in question now. Does the panel show that sensor as open on the top of the home screen?
