2GIG Go!Control Panel GC2
I updated to 1.19.3 several months back to add support for my garage door opener.
Since then I have noted that pushing the “Arm Away” (she says “Arming Away, exit now”) button on the panel actually sets it to “Arm Stay” after the count down.
If open a door during the countdown, it will arm away as it is supposed to.
Is that normal behavior with this firmware or have I picked up a bug?
Of note, if I open the door with less than 30 second on the timer, it resets to 1 minute as well.
That is all normal. This behavior is caused by programming, Q26 Auto-Stay and Q27 Exit Delay Restart.
Auto-Stay does what its name implies and exactly as you describe. If you do not open an exit door (suggesting you have left) before the end of the countdown when arming Away from the panel, it will revert to Stay.
This avoids false alarms from motion detectors.
Exit Delay Restart actually restarts the exit delay countdown when you reopen a door during the countdown, as in you leave the home, then re-enter during the countdown. This gives extra time if you’ve forgotten something, etc.
You can edit these in Q26 and Q27 in programming.
