Several features are available through the Alarm.com app for Apple Watch. Users must have watchOS version 5.0+ and be logged into the Alarm.com mobile app on the corresponding phone in order to use the Alarm.com app on the Apple Watch.

The Alarm.com app for Apple Watch includes features such as:

Control lights
Glance view provides a quick overview of the system’s status and Actionable Notifications allow the user to respond to certain notifications directly from the Apple Watch.
Important : The device associated with the Apple Watch (i.e., iPhone or iPad) must be locked for notifications to display on the Apple Watch.
View live video from '20 and '21 series Alarm.com cameras and the 2GIG HD100.
The ability to send commands from the app on an Apple Watch while the corresponding phone is powered down varies based on the watch’s ability to maintain a cellular connection
Do Actionable Notifications require the Customer app to be open?
No. The Apple Watch allows commands to be sent using Actionable Notifications. However, the user must be logged in to the Customer app to successfully complete any action performed using the notification.
What devices are required for the Alarm.com app to work on the Apple Watch?
An iPhone 5 or newer is required.
How do I install the Alarm.com app on the Apple Watch?
Open the Watch app on the iPhone.
Tap Search at the bottom.
Using the search bar field, enter Alarm.com.
Tap Get.
How does the Apple Watch communicate with the iPhone?
The Apple Watch communicates with the iPhone using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
If the iPhone is near enough, it will first try to use Bluetooth to conserve power. If Bluetooth is not available, it will try to use Wi-Fi.
Important: The Apple Watch requires a 2.4GHz network to communicate with an iPhone when using Wi-Fi. It will not communicate using a 5GHz network.
How does the Apple Watch send commands to the system?
The Apple Watch communicates with the phone whenever a button is touched on the Apple Watch app. The phone sends the command to the system.
How do I set up the Apple Watch to receive Alarm.com notifications?
This update will be made within the Watch App that is native to a user’s iPhone.
Add the Alarm.com complication to a watch face using the Apple Watch:
Complications are customizable UI elements on the face of an Apple Watch product. The Apple Watch face can be customized with an Alarm.com complication that offers quick access to your system.
You must have watchOS version 5.0+ and be logged into the app on the corresponding phone in order to use the app on the Apple Watch.
Go to the Home screen.
To return to the Home screen from another app or screen, press the Digital Crown (dial on the side of the watch).
The Home screen will zoom out and Customize will appear below the current watch face.
Note : Some watch faces are not customizable. If the face is not customizable, there will be no Customize option. Swipe left or right to select a face that has the Customize option.
