Any suggestions on best nest thermostat

I researched the best smart thermostats as my energy bills have been getting higher every season and I really want to cut down on costs while keeping the house comfortable. i have been experiencing issues with uneven heating/cooling and it gets frustrating trying to manually adjust all the time. i went through reviews from trusted sources like Wirecutter, CNET, and Consumer Reports and after comparing many options these two kept coming up as the top choices:

however, i am having trouble deciding which one would be better for me and i would love to get your expert advice and hoping maybe some HVAC professionals or homeowners with experience on this forum can also share their advice.
i usually work from home most days so having accurate scheduling and room comfort is important for me. would either of these be more recommended for my situation? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Our support forum deals with Alarm.com integration of compatible products.

There won’t be a difference between the two experiences within Alarm.com between compatible Nest thermostats and compatible Ecobee. In both cases the integration is on the back end and all scheduling would be done in the respective manufacturer’s apps.

In Alarm.com those two are a basic integration that only allows control of the target temperature, thermostat mode, and fan mode, via the app and scenes.

Another option would be a Z-wave thermostat compatible with Alarm.com (see the page linked below). Z-wave thermostats would support scheduling through Alarm.com, as well as automation such as sensor left open schedule overrides. ADC model thermostats support integrating ADC remote temperature sensors for more granularity in temperature monitoring, and averaging the current temp across the home.
