The IQ Pro would be a perfect solution for me as most of my zones are wired and I have Ethernet nearby. I feel like the IQ4 is a compromise because I am forced to convert wired zones into wireless.
The one thing that keeps me from switching over is the Bluetooth disarming on the IQ4. That feature really makes it easier for the rest of my household to deal with the alarm. Is there any hope that might be added to the IQ Pro at some point?
I don’t know about Bluetooth. It would have to be on the touchscreen or keypad to work well. The control panel wouldn’t always be reachable by Bluetooth.
The new IQ Keypad has a version that supports proximity tags. Would that work?
I don’t believe the IQ Pro actually has bluetooth capability. It is a more traditional wired hybrid panel, where it would be installed where the wiring converges for your sensors, usually in a basement or utility room. That’s not as conducive to bluetooth reliability.
