The connector for the antenna broken off of the circuit board (I guess that would be the radio chip). I have soldering skills, but not sure if it’s salvageable. If not, so I just need to order a new radio chip?
Let’s try again
Looks like this is regarding a 2GIG GC2 Verizon module, correct? The photos were too large to attach, but I think I know what you are referring to. (EDIT, yes the resized photos confirm)
The antenna seat has four prongs, if that connector has pulled off the board I would not recommend trying to solder it back in place. I like the DIY spirit! But the cellular communicator is a crucial component that should be replaced if damaged.
The Cell module is linked to your account via its Alarm.com SN or IMEI. If you order from suretyDIY.com let us know via email or secure message that your new purchase is going to be used to replace your broken module, and we will swap the number on your account so you can get it set up as soon as the module arrives.
If you order a module from another source, you’ll need to send us the cellular module communication ID via secure message once it arrives and our team can update your account when the message is processed.
This is the module your account currently uses.
Done and done. Thank you!
