I currently have a alarm.com video account via a resller in illinois for video only. I am moving and will be setting up an account with Surety - am I able to use my original email address for alarm.com to register, or do I need to setup a new address?

You can reuse the email address for any number of Alarm.com accounts, but each account’s username must be unique. If you want to reuse the same username you have now you would need to have the account cancelled or change your username now to something different.
