All push notifications stopped and door camera is no longer capturing events

I see more and more people reporting this issue - My door bell camera has stopped saving events, and my push notifications for all events have stopped. In the app I can see the events but the door bell only logs a motion detection with no clip. I also get a very delayed audible of motion detection (I go outside, come back in and about 1-2 mins later the bell rings). How do I fix this?

I’m showing a few Push notifications being sent in recent history. Are you not receiving any Push Notifications, or just those related to the VDB770? In the mobile app, navigate to the More section on the bottom menu bar then select Notifications. Make sure the Push Notifications toggle is activated.

Regarding the doorbell, If you access the Alarm.com mobile app, are you able to view Live View from the Doorbell Camera?

If so, can you trigger the Doorbell Call Recording Schedule rule by initiating a call via the doorbell button, does this create a recording?

If neither the Doorbell Call Recording Schedule rule or the Doorbell Person Detection Recording Schedule Rules are working but you can view Live View, try power cycling the doorbell camera. Wait about 5 minutes after it boots up, then test both recordings for resolution. Any change?

  • To power cycle, hold the VDB770 button down until the LED flashes yellow, about 40-45 seconds.
