I have a small business, with three employees. Sometimes I have to depend on employees to lock up when they leave. Recently an employee left without locking the shop door. I was robbed. What do you suggest to ensure my doors are locked if I am not there?
In our home, we have z wave lock attached to our system. we set up an alarm.com notification for when the door is left unlocked for more than 5 minutes.
If you have a standard door like in houses, then that would work fine. If you have those push doors with bars across like a lot of businesses, then such a lock wouldn’t work. I’m not sure if a door/window sensor would work in such a case.
Do u have cameras to watch once the alarm is armed
If so tell all employees if they don’t lock the door when they leave they will be fired and watch the camera as people leave
Doesn’t look like this is related to a Surety account, but in general, as the other post suggested, if you use Alarm.com you can set up a notification to remind you if a door is left unlocked.
